Hi, I’m Christine Mann

ABRSM (Diploma in piano teaching with the Associated Board and Royal Schools of music)

I qualified as a piano teacher in 2008 gaining the Dip ABRSM qualification. This was a chosen second career after being a professional software engineer.

Lifelong Passion

Music has always been a huge part of my life. I am open minded musically and love all styles of music ranging from classical, jazz and  contemporary music. I thoroughly enjoy teaching in particular the challenges and rewards that come with it. I meet some great people ranging from young children through to retired and professional adults. I am conscientious and strive to bring out the full potential of all my pupils.

Virtual Teaching

I am also setup to teach virtually as a result of the pandemic. I have embraced the use of technology and continue to do so. I use interactive music apps which children enjoy. I record and provide videos of difficult sections of music that pupils find challenging. This supports pupils when practicing at home.
